Applications of Analysis to Mathematical Biology
A conference in honor of
Michael C. Reed

Duke University, Searle Conference Center, Durham, NC
May 21-23, 2007
|
OVERVIEW
|
The central theme of the conference is the application of analysis,
broadly construed, to the mathematical modeling of biological systems.
The conference is held in conjunction with a dinner to celebrate the
65th birthday of Michael C. Reed, to honor his role in recognizing early
the importance of mathematical biology as a legitimate and important area
of applied mathematics, and to honor his contributions to mathematics,
especially in the application of mathematics to medicine and physiology.
