Inverses and Elementary Matrices*

Purpose: To explore the properties
of inverse matrices. Our principal tool for this exploration is the expression
of elementary row operations as left multiplications by elementary matrices.
Prerequisites:
- The Helper Application Tutorial for your computer algebra system
- The ability to perform elementary row operations to reduce a matrix to its
reduced row echelon form.
