Remarks may be entered
on the worksheet by starting a line with the # symbol. Check this by entering # This is just a remark. Nothing that appears on a line after the # symbol has any effect on
the calculation. Remark lines do not have to have a semicolon at the end.
But if you continue a remark to a second line, that line must begin with
# as well.
In addition to remarks,
you may enter text as you would in any word processor. Use RETURN
to create a new region, if necessary, and click on the T button
at the top of the screen (or press the F5 key). Then type some text --
your name, for example. Notice that the characters are a different color
and font, and the input prompt [> is gone. This is a text line.
If you press RETURN, you obtain another text line. Type text on this line
as well.
Now, click on the button
next to T that looks like an input prompt, [>. Type 5.3*7.1; and then RETURN. You're back to normal "math" input.
