Marine Pollution
Part 2:
Plotting the Data
- Edit the "skeleton"
plotting command in your worksheet to plot the data on TBT concentration and
thickness index.
- Experiment with plot "options"
to enhance your graph. For example:
- If the default setting is
to "connect the dots," you may see a very strange looking graph.
Set the plotting style to discrete points, not connected by lines.
- Set the style for plotted
points, say to CIRCLE or BOX or DIAMOND.
- Resize the plot.
- Specify the x and y
ranges for the plot box, say, x from -0.2 to 5 and
y from 0.3 to 0.6. (Adjust these numbers until you
are satisfied with the ranges.)
- Set the color for your plotted
points.
- Label your axes.
- What sort of relationship seems
to exist between the concentration of TBT in the cells of the mussels and
the thickness of their shells?
