Systems of Differential Equations: Models of Species Interaction
Lang Moore, David Smith, and James Tomberg
with the assistance of David Ambrose
Duke University
Purpose:
In this module we will study mathematical models which require the simultaneous
use of two differential equations. To illustrate the issues that arise
in working with such a "system of differential equations," we will
consider several models of interaction between species.
Prerequisite: The user should be familiar with the basic properties of a single differential equation. See, for example, the module Introduction to differential equations.
