What's New:
(10/10/03)

The first three pages contain new
versions of Shockwave mathlets created by Frank. The multiParameterAnimation
is a new beta version (8-11-03) mathlet that allows changing several parameters
in a graph and plotting several functions at the same time. The others are revised
versions have some of the features that participants requested. These do NOT
replace the older versions because some of the parameters are different. However,
particpants should switch to the new versions.
To Do and Software Update
Links
- Update your Java
Virtual Machine: Frank suggests that everyone update their Java
Virtual Machine. You can do this at www.java.com/en/index.jsp.
- You need to have the latest
Macromedia Flash Player installed on your computer to use the workshop
software. If you do not have a Flash Player, download one from the Macromedia
site. If you do have one, check
your version. The site will tell you your current flash version number. It
needs to be the latest : This is currently 6,0,79,0 (but anything after
6,0,65,0 is okay).
- Please fill out the short online form giving us
information about the hardware and software you will be using as well as your
previous experience. A separate form should be submitted for each member of
your team.
- Barbara Edwards at Oregon
State is handling the evaluation for the workshop. She has a short four-question
pre-workshop form that she would like for you to fill out. The information
submitted on this form will be submitted directctly to her.
- Some of the materials
presented in the workshop will use Macromedia Shockwave. If you do not have a
Shockwave player installed on your machine, download the
free player.
