Text Tool

Use the Text tool to perform a variety of operations on labels and on other objects that display text.

Text plays an important role in Sketchpad. Measurements and calculations allow you to determine and communicate important information about the geometric objects in your sketch. Labels provide the correspondence between measurements and the objects they measure and allow you to communicate with others about specific objects in your sketch. Captions allow you to identify and describe both your sketch as a whole and individual parts of your sketch. Sketchpad’s functions are fundamental mathematical objects expressed symbolically—another form of (mathematical) text. And parameters provide a convenient way to change the behavior of both geometric objects and functions.
