Webfeats II, a workshop for high school teachers, was held during the week
of July 22-26, 2002, at West Point. They learned how to create interactive online materials from existing and new web-based components, surveyed useful sites, and examined what makes an effective online lesson. Teachers had the opportunity to work in a small group to create sample materials.
Most people would go out of their way to avoid a snoozing bear by the
water's (Hessian Lake) edge, but there's one such spot in the Hudson Valley that should be on everyone's must-see list. It provided a rustic setting for group discussions, as well as rest and relaxation. Bear Mountain State Park in Bear Mountain, N.Y. ( http://www.hudsonriver.com/bearmtn.htm ), had something for everyone. Nestled along the Hudson River, Bear Mountain was so-named because the profile of the mountain resembles a bear lying down.
