Importing extensions
If you install a new instance of a Macromedia application on your hard disk or upgrade to a newer version, you can import extensions from other instances of the application without having to reinstall each extension. You can also import extensions from other Macromedia applications that use similar extensions; for example, you can import Dreamweaver extensions into UltraDev or font extensions into any Macromedia application.
To import extensions:
1 |
In the Macromedia Extension Manager, from the Product pop-up menu, choose the application to which you want to import extensions. |
2 |
Choose File > Import. The Select Product to Import From dialog box appears. |
3 |
In the Product pull-down menu, choose the application where the extension is installed. If the application is not listed in the Product menu, type the path to the application or click the Browse button to locate the application on your hard disk. |
|
Note: You can import extensions from other hard disks on your network that have similar Macromedia applications installed. For example, you can import an extension into Flash 5 from a remote drive that also has Flash 5 installed. Choose the application in the Product menu, then click the Browse button to locate the application on the remote hard disk. |
4 |
Select OK. The Import dialog box appears. |
5 |
Select the exchange packages you want to import by checking the check box in the Import column next to the extension name. |
 |
|
All enabled extensions are selected by default. To deselect the extension, deselect the check box. If you want to import extensions from a different application, click the Product button in the top right corner of the Import dialog box.
