The VIGRE-funded postdoc program supplements our existing postdoc program. All postdocs have several faculty mentors and are encouraged to take leadership roles in team research projects and be involved with graduate and undergraduate students. There are opportunities for innovation in teaching and research. Postdocs have the opportunity to participate in
grant writing workshops and other activities designed to help them establish their research careers. They will be encouraged to communicate their results to other departmental members through active participation in the graduate student and other regular seminars and by attending scientific meetings.
